Nancy Osmond, RMT Dartmouth Clinic
(she/her) Born and raised in Newfoundland, Nancy spent most of her years moving around the country with her military family before planting her roots in Nova Scotia. Nancy graduated from Halifax’s ICT Northumberland College and is a member of MTANS.
Nancy first discovered her love for helping others while working at a local nursing home. She was dedicated to the well-being of each of the clients and assisted with their mobility program.
Nancy understands the importance of having clients active in their treatment planning and
ensures everyone understands what to expect and why each treatment will help. She believes in open communication and strives for success with every treatment. During each massage treatment, Nancy offers a comforting and supportive touch while focusing on their areas of concern.
During her studies, Nancy focused on a variety of fascial, general Swedish techniques and myotonic stretching with an emphasis on different medical conditions, sports injuries and general relaxation. She was also able to gain a wide range of experience from treating Olympic athletes to persons with Parkinson’s disease and MS, while using her past experiences treating persons who struggle with mental health and dementia. She also completed extra courses on fascial cupping and Thai foot massage with reflexology. Nancy plans on following her passion by completing more training in pain management, lymph drainage and fascial techniques.
In her spare time, Nancy is a youth leader with the air cadet program and a first aid instructor with Saint John Ambulance and the Mental Health Commission of Canada. She also loves going camping and spending time with her two children, Morgan and Macy and her spouse Wade.
