Sarah Farquharson, PT Dartmouth Clinic
(she/her) Sarah grew up in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and continues to call it home. She completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology at Acadia in 2006, and graduated with a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy at Dalhousie in 2009.
Sarah is an experienced physiotherapist who believes there is great value in client education and takes an active approach to rehabilitation. She has completed several continuing education courses, with a special interest in manual therapy, mobilization with movement, and dry needling. Sarah was a lead lab instructor at Dalhousie for nine years, is a research assistant at the Nova Scotia Rehabilitation Center and is on the Professional Development Committee with the Nova Scotia Physiotherapy Association.
Sarah has been a competitive athlete throughout her life, mostly notably, playing varsity soccer at both Acadia and Dalhousie. She still plays soccer herself and also coaches a competitive youth team in the community. Sarah spends time hiking, biking, skiing, and has recently taken up tennis and golf. Her most enjoyable and time-consuming activity is trying to keep her dog, Gus, out of trouble.
