Tanya Conrad C. Ped (C), BSc.Kin Halifax & Dartmouth Clinics
(she/her) Tanya completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 1998 at Dalhousie University and was also certified as a Professional Fitness and Lifestyle Consultant. She went on to live in Vancouver where she worked in the private sector performing pre-employment fitness testing, functional capacity evaluations and personal training. She did many additional certifications while there, specifically becoming certified as an Exercise Specialist through the American College of Sports Medicine. As Vancouver was quite far from home though, she decided to head back to the east coast and took a role as a disability case manager in the insurance industry.
Pedorthics was always a huge interest of Tanya’s and she decided to returning to university where she then completed her diploma in Pedorthics through the University of Western Ontario and subsequently became a Certified Pedorthist (Canada). She has a keen interest in the how orthotics benefit patients with balance issues as well as how children respond to orthotics at an early age.
Tanya believes that preventative medicine is crucial to optimal health and wellness. She leads a very active lifestyle with running and weight training and keeps very busy with three daughters involved in competitive dance.
